Yanceyville, NC – It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Yancey Malloy Graves 51, of 137 Dillard School Dr. who died Thursday, October 4, 2018 in the Sovah Health Danville, Va.
He was the son of the late Willie H. Graves and Ruth Johnson Graves, born June 9 1967 in Danville, VA.
He accepted Christ early in life and was baptized and united with the Yanceyville Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member of the culinary arts ministry, parking lot attendant committee and helped with the trustee ministry whenever he was asked.
He was an employee of at the Caswell Pines Golf Course until his health began to decline.
Yancey always had a smile on his face, never met a stranger, and loved to make everyone around him laugh. He was loved by everyone in the community and to know him was truly a blessing.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Marie Graves Gattis; one brother, Willie Buddy Houston Graves.
His survivors are two sisters, Dawn Rene Graves of Burlington, NC and Virginia Sue Daniel of Washington, DC; uncle, Monroe Graves of Elon, NC a special cousin he considered an aunt, Mrs. Monnie Pinchback ( Dewey ) of Yanceyville, NC; and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
