Reidsville, NC – It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mrs. Fannie Sue Turner Harris of 501 Staples St. Reidsville, NC , who passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in the Curis at Reidsville Nursing Facility.
She was a native of Caswell County, NC and a resident of Reidsville for the majority of her life. She attended the local public school in Caswell County and was a former employee of Fieldcrest Mills in Eden, NC. Spiritually she joined Rocky Ridge Baptist Church at an early age. She was a loving person who loved her family, neighbors and friends. She will be missed so much.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie T. Harris; two sons, Willie T. Harris Jr. and Ronald L. Harris; son-in-law, Reuben Lonnell Thomas; one sister, Martha Watlington; four brothers, Hosie Turner, Willie Banks Turner, George Turner Jr., and Abraham Turner.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Fannie Christine Harris Thomas and Jennifer L. Harris both of Reidsville, NC, Shenna D. Harris of Burlington, NC; three sons, William B. Harris of Gibsonville, NC, Melvin D. Harris of Columbus, Ohio and Calvin L. Harris of Wilmington, NC; two sisters, May Ellen Clegg of Burlington, NC and Gertrude Raymond of Brooklyn, NY; 30 grandchildren; five sisters-in-law, Gillie Pinnix, Rachel Harris, Sarah Simpson, Fannie Turner all of Reidsville, NC and Annie Carver of Raleigh, NC; two brothers-in-law, Eddie Joe Harris of Ruffin, NC and David Harris ( Betty ) of Greensboro, NC; nieces; nephews; other relatives and a multitude of friends.
