Greensboro, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Ms. Emma Cobb of 108 Chestnut Bend Dr. Greensboro, NC closed her eyes and fell gently asleep, after a lengthy illness on November 1, 2018.
Emma was born on March 21, 1929, in Caswell County North Carolina, the daughter of the late Synda Williamson Cobb Williamson and Earlie Cobb.
Emma attended Caswell County Training School until 7th grade, when she was needed to assist on the farm. She later worked and traveled outside of North Carolina as a nanny and maid.She enjoyed going new places and meeting people. Later she returned to the farm and raised two daughters. She loved children and enjoyed babysitting in her later years for family and friends.
She was preceded in death by four brothers: Langston Cobb, George Cobb, Earl Cobb and Bobby Cobb and one sister Mary Cobb Graves Yancey.
Emma leaves to cherish memories of her love two daughters Janet Joan Cobb Bullock of Garner, NC and Sharone Cobb-Dean (Eric) of Greensboro, NC; two sisters Lucinda Cobb Bigelow (James Odell) of Yanceyville, NC and Ophelia Cobb Graves of Greensboro, NC; two sisters in law Bessie Turner Cobb (George) of Reidsville, NC and Ruby Cobb (Earl) of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren Cedric Bullock of Garner, NC and Jonathan Dean of Greensboro, NC; two great grandchildren Samone Oates-Bullock and Angelique Bullock of Garner, NC; special mention of very special friend and loyal spiritual sister Lillian Moffett (David) of Greensboro, NC, and Robin Graves Stokes her niece she loving cared for as an adult; and a host of other family and friends.
