Oxford, NC - Mr. Louis Graves of 4012 Kilkenny Ave. Oxford, NC Passed  away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at his residence.

Louis Edward Graves was a native of Caswell County, NC born on September 10, 1925 to the late Herman Graves and Bertha Badgett Graves in Blanch, NC.

  Louis joined and became a member Mineral Springs Baptist Church at an early age and was a graduate of Caswell County Training School.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Louis worked for thirty-two years at Farberware  in  Bronx, NY until retirement.

He  was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Margaret Graves Hamilton; two brothers, Sgt. Levi  Graves and Reverend Raymond Graves.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of forty-eight, Mary Clack Graves; one son, Kenneth Edward Graves of Kinston, NC; three grandchildren, Akisha Graves, Kerris Graves of Kinston, NC, Naisheema Staten of Fayetteville,NC; three step grandchildren, Kadaisia Canady, Nasheema Canady, Jason Canady all of Kinston, NC; four great-grandchildren, one daughter in-law Mary Elizabeth Graves of Kinston, NC, two sister-in-law, Ms. Shirley Lowden of Brooklyn, NY, Ms. Pauline Graves of Hinesville, GA and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
